Today, I’m showing you a simple workflow to turn text into a hyper-realistic candle animation using Adobe Firefly and Google Flow.

Step 1: Create Your Structure (Illustrator/Canva)

  • Start by roughing out your word (e.g., "LOVE") in a design tool like Illustrator or Canva.

  • Pro Tip: Make the letters one color and draw a simple "wick" on top in a different color. This helps the AI understand where the flame should be.

  • Export this image to your desktop.

Step 2: Generate the Style (Adobe Firefly)

  • Go to Adobe Firefly and enter this prompt:

"A lit red candle, some of the wax is melting, isolated in a minimalist ambiance. The candle is reflecting on the surface and the background is a different shade of red."

  • Hit Generate and pick the image that looks the most realistic.

  • Click Edit > Use as Style Reference.

Step 3: Combine Structure & Style

  • On the left panel, switch the model to Firefly Image 3.

  • Scroll down to Composition and upload your "LOVE" text image from Step 1.

  • Settings:

    • Structure Strength: 100%

    • Lighting: Studio Light

  • Hit Generate and download your favorite result.

Step 4: Animate It (Google Flow)

  • Go to labs.google/flow and start a new project.

  • Select Frames to Video and choose the Veo 3 Fast model (or latest available).

  • The Prompt: "The lit candle flames are suddenly moving."

  • Upload your candle image from Step 3.

  • Hit Generate.

And just like that, you have a custom, animated candle that looks 100% real.
