Today, I’m showing you how to create a realistic, moving fur text effect. We’ll generate the texture in Adobe Firefly, apply it to text in Illustrator, and bring it to life with a subtle breeze animation using Midjourney.
Step 1: Generate the Fur Texture (Adobe Firefly)
Go to Adobe Firefly and use this text-to-image prompt:
"A neon green fur fabric, isolated in a white background"
Hit Generate. Choose your favorite result and download it.
Step 2: Create the Text Mask (Adobe Illustrator)
Open Adobe Illustrator and type out your text (e.g., "Furry") using a thick, bold font.
Place the fur image you downloaded on top of your text.
Select both the text object and the fur image.
Right-click and select Make Clipping Mask. This will cut the fur image into the shape of your text.
Export this final image as a PNG or JPEG.
Step 3: Animate the Texture (Midjourney)
Go to Midjourney (Discord) and upload the image you just exported from Illustrator.
Use This Prompt:
"Animate this image so the green fur texture on the logo moves subtly, as if a soft breeze or overhead fan is blowing across it. The motion should feel natural and continuous gentle rippling, light fluttering of fur strands, and slight directional flow from top to bottom. Keep the background still and clean white. The lighting should remain consistent, with realistic fur shadows shifting softly. No camera movement, just the fur reacting delicately to airflow."
Hit enter and download your final animated video.
