Today, we are doing something different. Instead of a flashy visual effect, we are focusing on storytelling and consistency. I’m going to show you how to create a cohesive, animated short film with characters that look the same in every shot.
HERE’S YOUR PROMPT GUIDE TO DOWNLOAD
We’ll use Midjourney to establish a unique "knitted" art style, ChatGPT to generate consistent frames, and Higgsfield to bring the story to life.
Step 1: Establish the Art Style (Midjourney)
We want a specific look—a whimsical, handcrafted, knitted style.
The Prompt: Copy this into Midjourney to get our starting image (the couple on the bench).
"A whimsical handcrafted scene of an elderly man and woman small couple sitting side by side on a bench, viewed from behind, facing a peaceful landscape. The figures wear simple clothing. Surrounding them are stylized trees. Minimalist composition, cozy storybook mood. --sref 757665586 --ar 3:2"
Step 2: Create Consistent Frames (ChatGPT)
The hardest part of AI storytelling is keeping characters consistent. We solve this by using ChatGPT to "edit" our image description rather than generating new ones from scratch.
Upload: Upload your Midjourney image to ChatGPT.
Prompt for Frame 2: "Slightly change the position of the man so his hands are touching the bench. And have the woman touch her hair."
Prompt for Frame 3: "Change the position of the man so his hands are up to show he's yawning. His back is still towards camera. And have the woman slightly angled towards the man."
Prompt for Frame 4: "Change the position of the man so his right arm is around the woman as she leans in towards him. His left arm is down."
Step 3: Animate the Action (Higgsfield)
Now we have our keyframes. We use Higgsfield to animate the movement between them.
Go to Higgsfield.ai and select the MiniMax model (best for character movement).
Scene 1 Prompt: "The man places his hands on the bench and the woman lifts her right arm to touch her hair."
Scene 2 Prompt: "The woman puts her right arm down as the man raises his arms to yawn."
Scene 3 Prompt: "The man slowly puts his arms down and around the woman as he slowly leans in closer to her. She also leans in to him naturally."
Step 4: Add Sound & Music
Music: I used Suno to generate a "Pixar-style" backing track (Prompt: "Jazz, nostalgic orchestral waltz, vintage 1930s jazz").
Sound FX: I used ElevenLabs to add ambient park sounds and birds chirping.
And DONE!
